Ledoy-2 Log Interpretation Recap

Yo yo yo, what’s up petrophysics people! Welcome to today’s 2-minute recap of

the Ledoy-2 quick-look log interpretation, aka how to tell if the rock is rich. First thing we talked

about was the resistivity tool being at the bottom of the logging string. This is because

we want the first thing we see is hydrocarbons. Then, a bit higher up,

we saw the Gamma Ray tool was placed above the Neutron-Density combo. That’s not random.

We want to measure the formation’s natural radioactivity before the Neutron-Density tool starts blasting

the formation with its own radiation. It’s like tasting the soup before adding salt.
