We were folded into corners of the day. Smiling through a language we don't

say. Tastic hearts and borrowed skin. Trying to remember what we were

in. Oh. Every touch feels secondhand. Every truth is

overplanned. I breathe you in, but feel delayed

like a thought that never stayed. I'm here, but I don't arrive.

Wide awake, barely alive. Counting cracks along the wall. Waiting for the

weight to fall. We're pressed together, still alone. Too close to feel,

too far to hold. Say my name and let it fade.
