Lost Love, Lost Friendship

I fell in love with my best friend Jorge and it completely destroyed our friendship. We'd been inseparable

since middle school, did everything together, sleepovers every weekend. But somewhere along

the way my feelings changed and I couldn't hide it anymore. Last month I finally told him how I felt

thinking maybe he felt the same way. The look of pure shock and discomfort on his face told

me everything. Now he barely texts me back, canceled our usual hangouts,

and I heard from mutual friends he's been telling people it's weird. I lost my best friend

and the person I was in love with all in one conversation.
