Low Light Recording

I woke up at 3:17 AM to my phone vibrating nonstop. No ringtone. Just… buzzing.

When I unlocked it, my stomach dropped. Camera App — Recording. I hadn’t opened

it. A notification appeared: “Low light detected. Enhancing image.” I sat up in bed

and whispered, “Stop.” The recording timer kept counting. 00:14

00:15 00:16 Then a message slid across the screen. “Don’t move yet.”

My heart started slamming against my ribs. I slowly turned the phone toward

me. The screen showed my bedroom. But the angle was wrong.

It wasn’t from my nightstand. It was from the corner of the ceiling. Above my closet.
