Welcome to our quick guide on phrasal verbs essential for Academic English and TOEFL success!
First up, instead of 'test,' use 'try out.' For example, 'The researchers will
try out a new methodology.' Next, replace 'arrange' with 'set up.' As
in, 'We need to set up a meeting to discuss the findings.'
For 'complete' or 'accomplish,' use 'carry out.' 'The team was tasked to carry out the
experiment diligently.' Finally, instead of 'exclude' or 'omit,' say 'leave out.' For
instance, 'Ensure no critical data is left out of your report.'
Mastering these phrasal verbs will elevate your academic writing and boost your TOEFL score.
