Math Made Easy Every Day

Your brain can already do math without even thinking about it. Every time you figure

out if you have enough money for candy or count down until recess ends, that's math working.

Addition is combining things. If you have two crayons and get three more,

now you have five crayons total. Subtraction is removing things. Start with five

cookies, eat two, and three cookies remain. Multiplication is

repeated addition made faster. Instead of adding four plus four plus four,

just say three times four equals twelve. Division splits things evenly. Twelve cupcakes

shared among three people means four cupcakes each. Numbers are everywhere helping you.
