Hi, it's Jane! Last Tuesday, I was finalizing a major event preparation
when my phone started buzzing with notifications. You know those 'confirm you are logging in?' security messages
that pop up after you enter your password? It's called MFA - extra protection to make sure it's
really you. I declined it because I wasn't trying to log in. But they kept coming
for hours. I was exhausted - my phone wouldn't stop buzzing while I was trying to
work. So when the next notification popped up, I just hit 'approve'
to make it stop. That's exactly what they wanted. A hacker had my password and knew
if they kept spamming me, I'd eventually get frustrated and approve one.
