They told us freedom was a paycheck. But the paycheck ain't keeping up

with inflation. Let's talk about it. Back in the '50s,

couples fought and stayed. One wage, one roof, kids in the

yard all day. Feminists told the ladies, "Get your own check."

Own check. That's how the equality, trap was set.

Two incomes bid up every starter home. Price doubled quick. Uh.

Now both gotta roam. Kids got the screens to fill the void.

Parents too tired, love was destroyed. Less talk, less touch, resentment grew thick.
