Mom Threw Away Friend's Racket

I borrowed my friend's badminton racket for school activity. When I was about to return it,

she said i should keep it for now, so I hid it in my room so i wouldn't lose it.

After a few months later, i tried to find the racket but i couldn't find it,

so i asked my mom if she had seen it. She said she threw it away because

it didn't have a matching pair. I was like, wtf?? Why would she throw

it away?? So I got really upset and of course, she got mad at me too.

She said it was "just a racket" and that she would replace it with a new one.

But that's not the point, how am i supposed to return it to my friend.
