In 1807, Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated by an army of rabbits. The emperor organized
a grand hunting party to celebrate a treaty, and his staff released hundreds of rabbits
into a field. But these weren't wild rabbits. They were domesticated, raised in cages
and hand fed daily. When released, they didn't scatter in fear. Instead,
they saw humans and did what they always did. They swarmed straight toward Napoleon
and his men, expecting food. Dozens of furry attackers overwhelmed the great military
commander, climbing up his legs and refusing to retreat. Napoleon fled to
his carriage as rabbits continued their assault. The man who conquered most of Europe was
