Nighttime Was a Childhood Survival Game

Why was nighttime in my house actually a SURVIVAL GAME. 💀 Like as soon as the sun went down,

my brain said, “Yeah… danger mode.”💀 I’d be chilling, watching TV, totally fine—

then my mom goes, “Turn the lights off before bed.” BRO. I’m standing at

the switch already sweating. I flip it—AND IMMEDIATELY START RUNNING. Not jogging.

SPRINTING. Like full fear-fueled cardio, socks sliding, arms flailing,

heart in my THROAT. My brain’s screaming, “DON’T LOOK BACK. THEY’RE RIGHT BEHIND YOU.”

WHO IS THEY?? I don’t know. I just know if I didn’t dive onto my bed fast enough,

it was OVER. I’d JUMP onto the mattress like it was a safe zone in Roblox.
