nutrients like. Protein – Builds and repairs muscles. Fat – Provides energy and flavor.
Vitamins – B1, B2, B3, B6, B12,
folate. Minerals – Iron, zinc, phosphorus, copper.
Why do you think athletes or people who exercise eat a lot of meat? -Because it has
protein that builds muscles. Exactly! If a person avoids meat completely,
what nutrients might they miss out on? And how can they replace them? Protein and iron;
can be replaced with plant-based protein like beans or tofu.
