Octopuses: Aliens of the Ocean

Octopuses are straight up aliens living in our ocean. These creatures have three hearts

pumping blue blood through their bodies. Yeah, blue blood. That's because their

blood uses copper instead of iron to carry oxygen. Two hearts pump blood to the gills

while the third sends it to the rest of the body. And here's the wild part.

When an octopus swims, that third heart actually stops beating. That's why they

prefer crawling on the ocean floor. They're literally too exhausted to swim for long periods.

We know more about outer space than our own oceans, and we're sharing it with these intelligent

shape shifting aliens.
