One Day at a Time Prayer

“God, this prayer is for the person in recovery who feels tired of being strong.

The one who’s fighting urges, memories, and shame that no one else

can see. Give them strength for today — not the whole journey, just this moment.

Replace guilt with clarity. Replace fear with courage. Help them remember

that progress isn’t loud, and healing isn’t instant — but staying is already

a victory. If they’re still standing, still trying, still breathing

— then something is working. Walk with them today. One step.

One choice. One day at a time. Amen.”
