In Revelation 7, John hears a number: 144,000 from the tribes of Israel. Immediately after,

he sees a sight: a Great Multitude from every nation that no one can count.

For centuries, bad theology has tried to split these groups. People claim the

144,000 are a special "heavenly class," while the Great Multitude is a second-class group left on earth.

But when you strip away the religious filters, that theory collapses. The 144,000 are

called "firstfruits." In agriculture, the firstfruits are just the initial portion of the crop.
