In the wake of World War II, the world was left to grapple with the horrific legacy

of the Third Reich. Yet, as the dust settled over the ruins of Europe,

a secret operation was initiated, one that would see the United States welcoming with open

arms the very architects of the Nazi war machine. This operation, code named Operation

Paperclip, was a covert program run by the Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency.

Its goal? To recruit and procure the services of highly skilled German scientists,

engineers, and technicians, many of whom had served the Nazi regime.
