Overthinking After the Decision

I already made the decision. I thought about it. I weighed the options.

I finally chose. Done. Or at least that’s what I told myself. Five minutes later,

my brain goes, “Okay, but what if that was the wrong choice?” Oh.

Here we go. Now I’m replaying everything. The other option. The pros.

The cons I already considered. I start imagining alternate timelines where I chose differently

and everything somehow went better. Even though nothing bad has happened yet.

I try to reassure myself. “It’s fine. You decided. Move on.”

My brain does not move on. Now I’m stressed about a choice I was completely
