Mastering Paper 1: Exam Strategy

Paper 1 is where most students lose marks they should never lose. The exam is

split into two sections and you get two hours total. Section A hits

you with multiple choice worth 30 marks. These questions pull from every corner

of the specification so you cannot skip topics. Section B throws three data response

questions at you. Pick two. Each is worth 45 marks. and tests your

ability to apply theory to real world scenarios. Here is the controversial part.

Most students waste 40 minutes on multiple choice. When it should take 25 maximum.

Those questions are designed to be quick wins. The real battle is Section B.
