Paradise Threatened by Microplastics

Looks like paradise, right? 🌊🐬 But there’s a problem you don’t always

see… We studied La Lobería Beach in Ecuador, a protected area with sea lions and

wildlife. Our goal was simple: check if this beach is really as clean as it looks.

We measured things like water temperature and sand, but the most shocking part was plastic

pollution. We found plastic bottles, fishing nets, and even tiny plastics

hidden in the sand. These are called microplastics. They’re so small you can’t see them,
