Peace and Deception in David's Kingdom

2 Samuel 15:9 "And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose,

and went to Hebron." David told Absalom, “Go in peace,” unaware that Absalom was leaving to ignite

a revolt. This moment is tragic—David offered peace, while Absalom carried deception in his

heart. The verse reminds us that not everyone who receives blessing walks in truth.

It also teaches us to examine our own hearts: are we walking in the peace we speak,

or are our actions moving in another direction? God desires unity between our words

and our ways. Even when others misuse our kindness, we are called to integrity.

The Lord sees every intention, and He vindicates those who remain faithful.
