Pregnant and Sick, Denied Food Help

My boyfriend called me evil for asking for food while I’m eighteen weeks pregnant and sick.

His grandpa just passed away, and I caught a virus during the hospital visit.

I asked him to just leave food at the door so I wouldn't infect him, but he refused,

saying he needs to focus on grieving and can't risk getting sick. The worst part is

I spent all my money stocking his fridge, so I went home to absolutely nothing. I called him later,

weak and starving, begging for a drop-off for the baby's sake. He told me I was selfish for not

respecting his grief, even though he was hosting family all day. Now I’m ignoring

him, but maybe I really am the jerk for needing help during his funeral week.
