I walked into the textile warehouse on my first real day as a trainee and honestly thought

I was prepared. I wasn't. The shelves stretched three stories high, packed tight with

fabric rolls in every shade you can imagine. My supervisor pointed at a scanner and

told me to start pulling references for quality control. No pressure. I spent twenty minutes

just learning how to read the label codes. Color, batch number,

weight per meter. One wrong digit and you've grabbed the wrong roll. Then came measuring.

You lay the fabric flat on this massive cutting table, pull it taut without stretching,

mark your meter line with chalk. My hands were shaking the first time I made a cut.
