Okay, so here we go. All right, so we talked about this before the
central dogma, which is basically you have chromosomes that have DNA that makes them up,
and on this DNA you have sequences of bases that form genes, and genes have the
genetic code for making proteins or polypeptides. And so when we use the term transcription,
we mean making an mRNA, a messenger RNA from a gene, okay,
and that mRNA is carrying the instructions for making a protein that mRNA then goes to the rough endoplasmic
reticulum, where the protein making machinery is and you end up with translation.
The mRNA is red. The amino acids are assembled and the peptide bonds are formed between
