It begins with chaos—endless winter, the sun and moon devoured by giant wolves,

and monsters rising from the deep. Loki breaks free. The world serpent Jörmungandr coils

around the earth. Fire giants march from Muspelheim, led by the blazing Surtur.

On the fields of Vigrid, the gods and monsters clash. Thor slays the serpent,

but poison kills him in return. Odin is devoured by the giant wolf Fenrir.
