There are infinite numbers hiding between any two fractions on your ruler. That is the crazy
logic of rational numbers. Basically, any number you can write as p over
q is rational, even zero. You use them every time you split a bill or measure
ingredients. To crush this chapter, remember that adding requires a common denominator,
but multiplying is just straight across. If you have to divide, just flip the second
fraction and multiply instead. Watch out for those negative signs because they ruin perfectly
good answers. Get this right and algebra becomes a breeze.
