Recognising Jesus After the Resurrection

After the resurrection, Jesus didn’t reveal himself the same way to everyone. To some,

he appeared openly. To others, he revealed himself slowly. And to many,

he revealed himself through the Scriptures they already knew. Thomas didn’t believe the stories.

He needed proof. So Jesus stood before him and said, “Put your finger here.

See my hands.” And in that moment, doubt turned into worship. Two men walked with

Jesus on the road to Emmaus, but they didn’t recognise him. So he didn’t start

by saying who he was. He started with the Psalms. And the Prophets.

And Moses. He explained how the Messiah had to suffer. How the Scriptures
