Reconsider Resin for Production Applications

Stop defaulting to nylon for production when resin works better. Nylon is trusted

because it's been used for years in injection molding and SLS. Resin gets dismissed

for end use parts because of the stigma that it's unstable, brittle, or degrades over

time. While resin does degrade, the degraded properties are still more than

enough for most applications. In UV aging tests, resin loses nearly 50% elongation at

break. That drop scares engineers away. But look at actual values.

Stable nylon holds at 8% elongation. Degraded resin settles at 80% elongation. Even after significant

degradation, resin is still 10 times more flexible than the industry standard.
