Refuge and Freedom from Birth and Death

Krishna now speaks of those who seek freedom at the deepest level — freedom not just

from pain… but from the cycle itself. He says: “Those who take refuge in Me and

strive for liberation from old age and death — they truly understand Brahman,

they understand the Self, and they understand action in its entirety.” This shloka draws

a clear line between ordinary spiritual curiosity and sincere liberation-seeking. Most people want

relief from problems. A better life. More peace. Less suffering. But these seekers

want something more radical — freedom from repetition. From birth and death. From beginning again

and again. Krishna says such people don’t just believe — they know.
