Slowly bring your awareness further up to your upper back, shoulders and neck.
This is often where physical and emotional burden of life are being carried. Notice if your shoulders
are hiking up towards your ears. With the next exhalation, allow them to drop heavily as you are
settling down all the heavy backpack. Bring the warm, soothing light up into the back of
your neck. Feel the gentle release in the muscles that hold your head. The head is perfectly
balanced, weightlessly supported by a strong yet supple column. Mentally give permission
for your neck and shoulders to let go of their grip. Shoulder blades sliding down the
back. Neck is now long and relaxed. Jaw softly unclenched.
