Reprobate: Sinning Away Grace

Reprobate speaks of rejection. Old preachers used to call this sinning away your day of

grace. The Bible speaks of this in other places as being dead while yet living,

to have your eternal destiny already determined because you refused to accept the light that God

gave to you. Reprobate is a very simple word that has fallen out of fashion amongst

Christianity. But there it is right there in our text, a people can become

so blinded by their sin and so hateful towards God that God would say, "You can have it

and I am no longer bothering with you." To be reprobate is when God stops seeking you and

turns you over to your sin. In the book of Isaiah, God says, "Seek ye the Lord
