People always say motorcycles are suuuper dangerous, but are riders actually causing most of
the crashes? Studies show that in two-vehicle crashes, especially at night, car drivers are
usually the ones at fault. Most of the time, they just didn't see the motorcycle
before turning, changing lanes, or pulling out at an intersection. Distracted and impaired
driving is a huge factor as well. Texting, alcohol, and medication makes
drivers miss what's right in front of them. Motorcycle crashes look worse because
the riders have almost no protection, so people assumed we cause it even when we didn't.
So the real issue isn't motorcycles, but it's the drivers not paying attention, and bad road conditions.
