Wari’ Endocannibalism Body/Personhood: Body is a site of painful memory for the living kin.

performed by affines (not consanguines) to destroy the body as a painful memory and facilitate the

Point of Agreement: The need for the active detachment/destruction of emotional ties to the deceased.

Freud: Withdrawal of libido (emotional energy) from the lost object. Wari’: Physical

destruction of the body and social act of forgetting the name/past to facilitate the soul's
