Rushing to Graduation

“Graduation day. I was running late because I overslept. My cap and gown were ready,

but the ceremony started in 30 minutes. I sprinted across campus, backpack bouncing,

shoes squeaking. I thought I’d missed it until I saw my friends waving from the bleachers.

I slid into my seat just as the principal started speaking. Heart pounding, I realized how easily

life can slip by if you’re not careful. Walking across that stage, shaking hands,

receiving my diploma, I felt a mix of relief, pride, and gratitude.

It taught me to value time, be prepared, and that sometimes, panic leads to the

fastest running you’ve ever done.”
