Science Demands Chaos

They said the doctor was normal. But on Tuesday, he wasn’t. He looked at two

babies and said, “Science demands chaos.” So he spray-painted one baby blue.

The other baby orange. No explanation. He handed the blue baby to a billionaire. He handed the orange

baby to a guy named Kyle who eats drywall. Twenty years later… The blue baby owns twelve islands

but still can’t open a PDF. The orange baby drinks gas station coffee

and can hear colors. They meet at a Costco. The doctor is there too. He’s working the

samples stand. He looks at them and whispers, “Worth it.” The lights flicker.

Someone drops a rotisserie chicken. No one ever speaks of this again.
