Searching for Purpose in the Unfolding

Does anyone know their purpose in life? At twenty,

at thirty, at forty, beyond. I still don't have a clue.

Is there more I must learn or something I'm meant to pass on?

Do I teach, do I guide, do I stand and preach? No,

I'm not the one with answers to reach. I ask myself quietly night after

night, "Am I searching too hard or just missing the light?"

As a child growing up, I dreamed big and bold. An actress on

stage is my name carved in gold, but my voice never rose,
