Seasons Never Mattered

Can you still remember the cold September rain? It was sweater weather,

you had holes in your jeans. The ground was always wet and the sky

was always grey. I would drive all night to stay for half a day.

Cave Hollow smelled like nicotine when the leaves began to change. Moments became

memories, home had a new name. Seasons will always change

and time will always pass. Minutes turned to months, we were only

counting laughs. But the seasons never mattered, the sky always felt blue.
