Seeing the Truth Isn’t the Same as Changing When Nebuchadnezzar watched Shadrach,

Meshach, and Abednego step out of the fire without a single mark,

he was forced to respond. He didn’t deny it. He didn’t dismiss it.

He publicly declared their God unmatched in power. But listen carefully— he still called

Him their God. Because acknowledging power isn’t the same as yielding authority.

And awe doesn’t automatically dismantle pride. The fire proved God’s strength—

but it didn’t break the king’s pride. That came later. When success went to his head.

When warnings were ignored. When power was taken from him and he was brought low
