Seeing the Fight Differently

David was not the hero everyone thinks he was. He was the forgotten kid.

The youngest of eight brothers who got stuck watching sheep while everyone else went to war.

When his dad sent him to deliver lunch to his brothers he showed up just as Goliath was screaming

threats across the valley. This giant had been doing this twice a day for forty

days and the entire Israelite army was paralyzed with fear. David saw everyone cowering and asked

why nobody was fighting this guy. His own brothers mocked him and told him to go home.

But David had killed lions and bears protecting his sheep. He knew something nobody else understood.

Goliath was wearing seventy pounds of bronze armor in the desert heat. He was slow.
