Shadows of Grace

The day breaks, I stay dim inside. A halo where a sweet

light once died. My hands still tremble, still unfolding. The ghost of

myself I keep holding. I wear the dusk like a

crown of nails. Like he once was but mine's still pale.

Command my fall, I'm yours to steer. I've carried this shadow year after

year. Give me your grace if you still see a spark of

faith inside what's left of me. Steps in the dark,

I retrace my fall. Every prayer echoes, no voice at all.
