Simon Cowell is still throwing shade at the first American Idol finale twenty-three years later.

He admits Kelly Clarkson was the perfect winner who actually saved the show from disaster,

but he bluntly confessed Justin Guarini had no business being in the top two. Simon insists Tamyra

Gray should have been the finalist instead. Even decades later, he says Justin knew

he never stood a chance against Kelly.
