Solana just got a major upgrade and nobody's talking about it. Blocks are now 20
percent bigger. But what does that actually mean? Every transaction on Solana uses something
called compute units — like gas in a car. Simple transfers use a little.
Complex swaps use a lot. Before, each block could handle 48 million
compute units. Then they bumped it to 50 million to test things out. Now?
It’s 60 million. That’s 20 percent more space for transactions or more complex activity.
🔥 More room per block means better performance, lower fees if demand stays the same,
and smoother UX overall. 🧠 And this is just the start.
