Solar Alignment Architecture

Did you know sunlight can be made to touch a place only on one

specific day of the year? Because Earth is tilted, the Sun position

shifts north and south every day of the year. So the Sun never returns to

the exact same angle except on that exact date. If we place a small hole

in the roof, sunlight enters at a precise angle. On one chosen day,

the light perfectly hits a specific point inside. On all other days,

the angle changes and the light misses. Ancient temples used this exact science

thousands of years ago.
