Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers admitted they based the show on actual CIA experiments

from the 1970s. Project MKUltra really happened. The US government literally tested

mind control on unwitting citizens for decades. They dosed people with LSD without

consent and tried to create psychic spies during the Cold War. Eleven's sensory

deprivation tank? Actual CIA technology. The Upside Down might be fiction but the human experiments

that inspired it were terrifyingly real. The government even ran these programs

out of university labs to avoid suspicion. Makes you wonder what they are hiding today.
