Streets of Amsterdam

I came here chasing daylight Left my home so far behind now the trams

hum through the morning and the rain draws silver lines Coffee,

steam and foreign voices Echo through the market square

I'm a stranger in the window but the city doesn't care on the streets

of Amsterdam I walk alone but I understand Every bridge, every shadow man

Has a story written in the sand I'm learning how to stand again

on the streets of Amsterdam There's a rhythm in the water and the silence

feels like home every night beneath the towers I find peace where I once
