2 Samuel 15:16 "And the king went forth, and all his household after him.
And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house." David left Jerusalem
in humility, taking his household with him, yet entrusting the city to God’s hands.
This verse shows a leader releasing control during crisis. David did not cling to power or possessions—he
trusted the Lord with what he could not carry. Sometimes obedience means leaving things
behind and believing God will guard what remains. Faith is not holding tighter,
but surrendering deeper. David’s departure reminds us that God is present both
in what we take and in what we leave. When we walk forward in obedience, God remains sovereign
