Survival's Cost

A submarine commander murdered fifteen of his own men to save five, and the survivors

are now on trial for staying alive. The impossible math was simple. Twenty men,

three days of oxygen. Rescue in seven days. Everyone dies, or some live.

Lieutenant Commander Oram did what no one should ever have to do. He chose who would

see their families again. He called the five married men forward. Told them they had

a special duty. Made them draw lots like it was some kind of assignment. They had no idea
