Surviving in Silence

I used to believe tomorrow would be kinder. That the pain would fade,

that the nights wouldn't feel so heavy anymore. But every smile I wear feels borrowed,

and every goodbye lasts longer than it should. I scream in silence, because the world

only listens when you're strong. If you see me staring at the sky, I'm not dreaming.

I'm just asking it why I still feel so alone. But maybe that's the thing about

pain. It teaches you who you are when no one's watching. And some days,

surviving is enough.
