Surviving Two Atomic Blasts

Imagine surviving the deadliest weapon ever created and then facing it again. At 8:15 AM,

the sky over Hiroshima turned white. The blast burned skin, flattened buildings,

and erased shadows. Tsutomu Yamaguchi survived. Injured and shaken, he escaped the ruins

and boarded a train home. He thought the nightmare was over. The next morning

in Nagasaki, the sun fell from the sky again. Another flash, another firestorm,

another city destroyed. Twice humanity unleashed atomic hell. Twice the same man walked out alive.
