Switzerland: Expensive, Cold, and Watchful

Switzerland isn't a paradise, it is basically a police state with expensive chocolate.

I lived there for three years and it was honestly the worst time of my life.

You feel constantly watched because the public is encouraged to report anyone breaking the rules.

My landlord literally told me I didn't need a house alarm because the neighbors are always spying

on you. There are huge fines for everything, the cost of living is insane,

and the people are incredibly cold and distant. One guy summed it up perfectly when

he said every Swiss citizen is just their own prison warden.
