Ozzy Osbourne's Bat Bite Incident

Ozzy Osbourne really did bite the head off a bat on stage, but the story is even wilder than

you think. It was 1982, on his Diary of a Madman tour in Des Moines.

A fan chucked a bat onstage. Ozzy, thinking it was just a rubber toy,

picked it up and, as part of his whole Prince of Darkness act, bit its head clean

off. He said he realized his mistake instantly when he felt the crunch.

It was a real bat. It's still unclear if it was alive or dead, but the point is,

it wasn't a toy. After the show, he was immediately rushed to the hospital for rabies shots.

This came just a year after he bit the heads off two doves in a record label meeting.
